The location is great and it’s cheap but unfortunately those are the only two good points. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and the place was generally unclean. The reception was also closed when we tried to check out.
I stayed in the hostel in August 2015 for two days. At that time the hostel was new and i believe we were one of the first guests. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable.The receptionist, Elmedin, was extremely helpful during our stay at the hostel. He advised us the places to visit and even showed us some places in the Bascarsija. I really recommend this Hostel to anyone who wants comfortable and affordable accommodation.
This place is located in a nice region (5 min walk to Bascarsija), although the specific spot it is located might be a bit scary/apparently dangerous at night. It is located in an alley , quite hard to find it and dark. Despite this, the room was clean and confortable and the owner is very friendly.
Hostel Mak is situated between several buildings ine center of Sarajevo. This gives you cheap stay and fast access to Old Town, Cathedral, Markale Marketplace and Ferhadija Street, which leads you to most of attractions in downtown Sarajevo. Access to the property is gated. Internet is free and fast, rooms are decent. Overall, worth the money
